Auditions: Actors aged 12-18 are invited to audition on either Monday December 8th OR WEDNESDAY December 10th. Please note the DATE CHANGE! Please register for ONE timeslot.

Auditioners are asked to prepare ONE side from the list of sides below. Memorization is not necessary, but please be familiar and comfortable with the text. Actors *may* be asked to read additional sides at the audition, but there is no need to prepare more than one side ahead of time. The director may also ask the actors to participate in theatre games at the auditions.

Please arrive a few minutes early and bring a current photograph (school pictures and pictures printed at home are fine) and signed Parent Form (below)

Callbacks: Callbacks will be on Wednesday December 10th from 7-9pm, if needed. Callbacks are up to the discretion of the director if he/she feels they are necessary.

  • Actors who auditioned on Monday will be notified on Tuesday December 9th whether or not they are being asked to attend callbacks.

  • Actors who audition on Wednesday may be asked to stay to attend callbacks immediately following their audition.

A callback allows the production staff to gather more information about an actor.  Not being invited to callbacks does not mean you are not being considered for a role. Likewise, a callback also does not guarantee a role in the show.

Casting: Casting calls will be completed by Sunday, December 14th. Only those cast will receive a phone call. All others who audition will receive an email notifying them that the casting decisions have been made. E-mails will be sent once all of the calls have been made.

RehearsalsPlease note the rehearsal schedule has changed from when it was originally released. Rehearsals will be held on the following dates and times. All regular rehearsals are from 6pm-8:30pm. All TECH Rehearsals are 6-9pm.

Cast members are expected to attend all rehearsals for which they are called, and to be on time and prepared, unless ill. MVCCT expects this production to be the actor’s first priority after schoolwork. NO EXCEPTIONS will be made for tech week absences. Actors must be available to attend every night of tech week.

There is a participation fee of $350 for those cast, which is due by the first rehearsal (January 5, 2025). Other incidental expenses to anticipate may include purchasing costume shoes and socks. Scholarships are available. Please contact admin@mvcct.org for scholarship information.

Parent Responsibilities: Parents are expected to volunteer with the set build (one or two Saturdays in Jan or Feb), selling concessions at the show, designing the cast board, planning the cast party, assisting with costume collection and more. All of these jobs will be explained further at the Parent Meeting. The parent meeting is Tuesday January 13th at 6pm. Without your valuable help this show wouldn’t happen.
